My friend asked me to travel a month ago and I realize that there is only one month left before my bf’s death anniversary. Ilocos was the last place he went with his family. This is also his first and last travel together with her sister’s boyfriend. I pm-ed my friend to go on a trip in Ilocos asap. We just paid week before so that this trip will be very sure and no back outs. We are only 2 because it’s hard to invite many friends because they are late as usual.
We have travel agency named Triple8, I got nice review from our batchmate in college and the famous Jadine couple used this agency on their travel in Ilocos.
We left SM Moa at 10pm and fetch my friend infront of Trinoma in QC because she lives near the mall. Ofc, we sleep in the van and get out during the stopovers.
Our first destination is the Calle Crisologo in Vigan City, because it is still dark. The driver drove for us to see the beauty of the street at sunrise.
The driver said that we’ll return here on the last so we don’t took many pictures here.
We ate our breakfast here. I forgot the name of the restaurant, sorry!
The next destination is Baluarte owned by Chavit Singson. There is a museum where skins of animals is displayed. Is it anime cruelty?
There are only few animals here so don’t expect much.
This is the Bantay Bell Church.
Few steps away is the bell tower. Too high and too hot also. 😦
We went to the topmost f the belltower. It’s windy and air is so refreshing. But the weather is so hot, because our tour is on March and summer is coming.
Meet my travel buddy, this is Gem. She was my classmate in college and she really needs to unwind because of work and her shift. 😦
After our 3 destinations, we went to our lodging area.
Welcome to Subli Subli Beach Resort! 🙂 We also had our lunch here. But wait, we took a bath first and ate our lunch here. I remember I slept for an hour because we really need to sleep first.
I think this beach is not for swimming or it’s just dirty by that time.
On the afternoon, we went to Marcos museum and Palace of the north. It is not allowed to take pictures on Marcos funeral.
There are lots of history written during the Marcos era. I am not biased or what but I believed he is the best president ever, no one will run the country for about 20years? Correct me if I’m wrong please. 🙂
Ofc, selca is a requirement :p
Entrance fee in Marcos Museum is 50php
Before going to Sanddunes, we went on the Palace of the North! The area is so peaceful, good thing that most of the places here have no entrance fee.
We are looking at the pictures on the walls because it is historical and looks amazing. You may want to live in that era.
Our selca is needed! Just kidding 🙂
The most exciting part of the trip was the Paoay Sanddunes! It is really an adventure and your heart will keep on beating fast because of the extreme action.
We met our travel mates inside the van and we grouped each other so that we can rent the car. This is the most expensive entrance, this costs 500 pesos each. We have our video recorded also from my classmate’s iphone.
I had successful ride in sand boarding. But my legs are trembling because I am avoiding to fall. 🙂 This should be a video but the one who took the video I think accidentally clicked the stop button. So sad
After our adventure, we went to famous Paoay Church.
There are only few people here so no photobombers on our selfies.
This second picture is Paoay Church at night. So pretty with spot lights. So majestic and scary because it is dark around the place :p
We ate at famous pinakbet pizza! It is so expensive that we spent 900pesos on our dinner. 😦 So expensive but we had to try there famous foods.
I have ordered ricemeal too but I wont include it in this blog. I just want to show the pinakbet pizza 🙂 This is the end of our first day, less sleep only!
This is our second day in Ilocos and we are excited in going to the beach later. As usual, we had our breakfast on the beach resort.
We went to the famous light house in took many pictures of the place. Because Ilocos is overlooking on this area.
Sorry we have just to take many pictures here because the background is so pretty.
Very beautiful photo, not just the background and place but also me 🙂 just kidding. I guess this is our first destination for this day because famous windmills is nearby on this area.
The next place is the rock formation. This place is very very hot! We felt like burning.
The place is big that there is a horse rental to roam around the place.
The place is simply fascinating even it’s so hot here.Next place is the famous windmills. The original windmills that provide electricity on the area.
It is windy here but it’s very hot as usual. But we put sunblock before going out of the sun ofc!
Next in line is the famous bridge.
This is the northest part of Ilocos and I am not sure if Abra is the next province if you drive forward there. 🙂
And the beach is on for our next destination, we had our lunch here and we took a rest before swimming. We didn’t stayed long here because it is dangerous for our skin to stay long under the sun. We just take pictures, wet ourselves for a while and rest for a bit. We stayed here until late afternoon.
I did something special here but I wont post it. I wrote my love’s name in the sand because he did the same last year. ❤
Before heading home, this is our last itinerary for the day the Bantay Abot Cave. This is free entrance and you’ll see the beauty of the cave when you walked on the other side of the cave. 🙂
This is our last night so we ate at Chowking finally! Affordable food, the restaurants there are expensive.
This is long trip on our way back to resort because we went north!
And finally our last day.. we need to check out so we had to bring our things. Goodbye beach resort we’ll be back if possible. 🙂
So pretty girl beside me 🙂
We went to store of bawang sibuyas because my mother asked me to bring some!
They had the lowest price compare to Manila.
And then we went to the famous arc of Ilocos also to take some pictures.
I don’t know that the beautiful flowers behind me is tabaco. Insert cry-smile emoji here.
We went on city tour and the kalesa ride should be 150 per our only but I guessed they tricked us. We paid higher amount than the expected payment. So sad bes.
We went to hidden gardens and took some funny pictures there :p
Because we are the single on the van and most of them are couples.
Look, we look like crazy people talking about anything funny. 😀
We also went to pottery and fake creating of pots haha.
We went back to Calle Crisologo to eat our lunch and took some pictures also of day time Vigan.
We spent our halfday in Vigan only. Before going to Manila, we went on bnus photoshoot area! :p We took many pictures in Calle Crisologo, because the place is historical and amazing.
The bridge before going home 🙂
OFC we had our driver’s picture! This is the end of our trip. We had our skin dark because of walking under the sun. I didn’t bring my umbrella because I did’t expect this weather here.
I love you Gelo, this is my tribute for you.
